Farmers Markets in your home town
One of the fun things when on holiday is to visit the local market and sample their delights. If you live in St Albans or Harpenden or plan on visiting them don’t forget their Farmers Markets. Both locations have some of the best farmers markets in Hertfordshire regularly bringing you the best of seasonal local produce and a host of other delights.

Summer of Sport 2019
One of the great local natural assets available to those who live in St Albans and Harpenden are the Dunstable Downs. This is where the Dunstable Downs and Whipsnade Estate are hosting a summer of sport. There will be tons of activity this summer in their extensive chalk grassland that is also designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty AONB.

St Albans Strongest Man
For the first time ever UK’s Strongest Man is coming to England #uksm. And guess who is hosting the event -  the stunning Roman town of St Albans. So for a bit of end of term fun the UK’s Strongest Man competition, which is shown on Channel 5, why not see if you can get tickets on 26th  to the 28th  of July 2019. The doors open from 12 noon with the competition running from 3 pm to about 7.30pm.

St Albans Race for life 
The St Albans Race for Life will be held on 21st July 2019 this year. The St. Albans 5k and 10k Race For Life is not about breaking records. Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is a series of events raising money for research into all 200 types of cancer. They want to beat cancer and everyone can get involved. The St Albans Race For Life really is for everyone whatever your ability, walk, jog or run 5k or 10k and help beat cancer sooner.

International Organ Festival of St Albans
For many years the St Albans Organ Festival has presented arguably the world’s leading organ competition. It attracts young organists from all over the world, to be heard by organists of international standing. Over the years its past prize-winners have included many of today’s most influential organists. This year is the 30th St Albans International Organ Festival. Running from the 8th of July to the 20th of July 2019 this two weeks long biennial festival celebrates organs, organists and organ music and a whole lot more besides.
